Vivaldi says it won't use a large language model to add a chatbot, page summaries or form-fill suggestions. It does have built-in machine translation (Vivaldi Translate, powered by Lingvanex), which our definition doesn't count as a generative AI feature. Vivaldi is a Chromium-based web browser for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, known for its many layout and tab options. In August 2025 its CEO published a statement saying Vivaldi will not use a large language model to add a chatbot, a summarisation feature or a form-filling suggestion engine.
