Hi, I'm Dee. I founded NoAIAlts because I wanted tools that leave the creating to people. One real person decides what makes this list: me. Every tool here is checked and approved by me before it goes live, and nothing is published without my say-so.

We list software and apps where we have not found generative AI features: features that create text, images, audio, video or code. See what counts as generative AI for our full definition.

Each listing carries one of three labels: “No generative AI features found”, “AI optional or can be switched off” or “AI built in”, with the date we checked, the plan or version we looked at, and a link to the evidence.

Apps change often, so a tool may add AI features after our check. Every listing has a “Report a change” link, and we re-check listings about every 90 days.

Some links may become affiliate links, and some listings may be paid “Top Pick” placements. Both are labelled “Ad”, and payment never changes a tool's AI label.

Listings reflect our checks on the date shown. Vendors can add AI features at any time, so check the app yourself if it matters to you.

How listings are checked

We read the maker's own pages (feature pages, help pages, blog posts and plan details) and save what we found with the date. We don't give a “No generative AI features found” label based only on someone else's list.
