Neovim doesn't include an AI model. Version 0.12 added support for the LSP “inline completion” standard, which lets you connect an AI completion server (such as GitHub Copilot) that you install and sign in to yourself. That doesn't add AI to Neovim, so it keeps the no-AI label with this note. We read the maker's own pages; we didn't install the app for this check.
Apps change, so Neovim may add AI features after our check. Report a change · What we count as generative AI
Neovim is a free, open-source, Vim-based text editor with built-in LSP support and Lua configuration.
